Supporting OMJ on Free First Friday

I was gonna to title this post “Supporting One Man’s Junk” but thought some people might mistake the intent of what I’m about to say…

So, in honor of the First Free First Friday, (Geeze I already stutter, so I’ll never say that out loud successfully) I decided to offer something of my own. I was going to look around here and try to figure out something I could give away free that someone would want. After an hour of endless wandering through my garage, attic, workshop, computer office, and back yard I gave up. Either I’ve already given it all away or I’m using it and ya simply can’t have it! (though my wife might vehemently disagree on that last part!)

So, without something tangible to give out I decided to step outside the box and offer something I’ve never offered before…

I’m a computer technician, amongst the other things our company does, and we specialize in remote support and remote repair of computers. Basically you sit home on Internet and watch while I do the work. It’s pretty amazing actually! I figured I need to get my name spread around the county a little bit more since I just moved here and need new clients, so here’s my idea…

My offer for Free First Friday

I’m giving away one half hour of Free Remote Computer Support to the first five people who call requesting it. I’ve disabled the virtual receptionist so the phone will ring right to me! You get one half-hour of remote  computer support for whatever you might want it for. ONLY through OMJ and ONLY TODAY! (Cause I’d go broke otherwise!)

I can’t fix EVERYTHING remotely, so here’s my requirements if you want to participate.

Requirements are:

• Must be a Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 Computer.
• Must have a high-speed connection to the Internet and actually be connected to the Internet
• Must be at the computer you want me to work on.
• You have to say ” I want my Free First Friday” when I answer the phone! (and sound like ya mean it!)
• You MUST go on Facebook and tell everyone how good we are if we fix your problem for free! (though you can leave out the Free part when you’re mentioning it…)

I’m not gonna charge you for it, not gonna trick  you into something, and I might even go a little over 30 minutes if I have an issue I can fix while I’m already remoted in to you.

So.. to participate and get your free tech support remote session, simply pick up the phone and call us at 704-512-0988. If I’m already helping someone I’ll try to catch your call and get your info and call you back as soon as I’m done with them. Feel free to leave a voicemail if you like. I’m going to call back the first 5 who call requesting free support!
